Triqnaqi was set up with fellow Artistes Sheikh Haikel, Aaron Aziz and Diyana Halik with a passion to reach out to the youths in the community. An academy that exposes the youth to the various art forms such as Drama, Hosting, Radio Djing and those rooting from the today’s ‘Urban’ or ‘Street’ cultures that include Rap, Breakdance, Hip Hop Dance, Graffiti and Dj/Turntabilism. The aim of Triqnaqi is to tap onto the young people’s high levels of energy, turning them into positive developments and to stimulate their young minds creatively empowering
them to be not just performers but leaders in their respective fields. Triqnaqi challenges them to go beyond conventional grounds to constantly push the frontlines of the Arts scene in Singapore. They are also advocates of not just success but the true meaning of commitment and dedication to an art form. These courses were launched in March 2005 at the Esplanade and since then Triqnaqi has reached out to numerous schools under the NAC-AEP programme and to youth organizations like The Singapore Children’s Society.
