Being a trendsetter, Najip was entrusted by Suria, the Singapore Malay Channel to produce and host its first ever talk show. Dubbed Kopi O Teh Tarik, the show made waves for its 5 seasons here and was the most watched programme on the Suria channel.
The programme won top honours for 3 years as the Best Variety programme on Suria Channel’s Pesta Perdana and even won accolades for its opening graphics. Its final season won Najip the recognition of being the Best Producer/Director for a variety programme
In 2003, he conceptualized a landmark Malay TV programme titled TV: ism which was aired in Singapore (Suria Channel), Malaysia (TV3) and Indonesia (SCTV).
Not limiting his sights on Malay entertainment programs, Najip also devised, produced and directed kids’ programme on Kids’ Central such as KCTV: Wow! , Watch Eat! (3 seasons) , In Our House and Aspirasi Inspirasi, as well as Pesta Pesta Pesta which broke the record for viewership ratings on Suria Channel.
Recognized for his talents, Najip is currently working on a collaboration with MCYS on a variety programme, Kpak Bing! Bing! for Suria. He was also a part of the Mosaic Music Festival two years in a row with his interactive talk show Relax One Corner with Najip Ali.
