Realise features the musical journey and accomplishments of Nathan Hartono, who realized his dream at a young age of 15 when he released his very first Jazz album “LET ME SING! Life, Love and All That Jazz”, which astoundingly topped HMV’s Jazz Chart for 2 weeks running!

Realise also features a live recording of his sold-out concert “Feeling Good with Nathan Hartono”, held at the Esplanade in 2007.

Being a young up-and-coming artiste is no easy feat for any schooling teen, especially Nathan Hartono, who is currently balancing between his A Levels, weighty position as his school’s Choir President, as well as his entertainment career. He will also be enlisting into the National Service next year.

Even though Nathan has not been in the public eye quite so much this year, his fans continued to shower him with encouragement and support through emails and letters.

Nathan Hartono - “Stay was a song written with a little tongue in cheek, and the lyrics are actually quite nonsensical, but what it talks about is wanting to keep the ones you love. Especially in a time where life is crazy everywhere and it is so hard to keep those that really matter around you. It is a serious song, with a less than serious melody and lyrics and that is what I love about it (:”

Stay has been dedicated to all his fans as a BIG thank you for all their continuous support. There are plans for a third album, so do look out for more of Nathan’s own compositions.

After realizing his own dream by releasing his first album, Nathan also wish to help under-privileged children realize their own dreams. When he shared this idea with his management, Mr. Lim Sek (Music & Movement), Mr Lim immediately thought of Singapore Children Society, a relatively new non-profit organization which aims to help more children in need.

“Other than being able to re-introduce Nathan to the public not just as a singer but also a budding songwriter, it is wonderful to be working with the Singapore Children’s Society. We want to create opportunities and also encourage the children to realize their dreams which they will be able to as long as they work hard. We feel that Nathan being a teenager who has achieved so much with hard work is able to a good role model for these Children.“ Mr. Lim commented.

This compilation album is in support of the Singapore Children Society. For each copy of Nathan Hartono’s Realise album sold, a donation will also be made to Singapore Children Society to aid of realizing the benefiting children’s dreams.

Realise is distributed by HIM International Music and will be out in all major CD stores island-wide from 27 June 2009.
